Creative writing
I’m Debs, a fiction writer based in Bristol obsessed with the weird, surreal and magical.

After giving up my childhood dreams of pop stardom, at ten years old I became dead set on becoming a writer. I went on to study English Literature at the University of East Anglia.

I'm now published by Reflex Press, Ellipsis Zine, Dahlia Books, Fiction Kitchen Berlin and more. I was one of the London Library's Emerging Writers 2019 and on the Dahlia Books' writer development programme A Brief Pause. I was shortlisted for the Sunderland Short Story Award.

I'm currently working on my first novel with funding from Arts Council England - so watch this space!

I'm available for commissions, workshops and speaking opportunities.
